Welcome graphic

Welcome to this dedicated fansite about York City. It includes game reports for individual matches, offers interesting stats, and keeps you up to date on the latest news from Bootham Crescent.

I have been a fan of YCFC since early childhood, but for many years Leeds United were my 'first team'. However, last season I saw the light, and visited almost every home match, aswell as three away matches. I am a season-ticket holder for next season, and intend to travel to as many away matches as possible in the 2003/04 campaign.
The 2002/03 season has just ended, and what a season it was! City began the season under the chairmanship of John Batchelor, and their early season form propelled them towards the top of the league. However, disaster struck at the turn of the year when Batchelor revealed himself as a bigoted twat, and YCFC entered administration. Eventually, after a few turbulent months, the club was saved by its own Supporters' Trust, but on the pitch the side fell at the last hurdle in their bid to be promoted, missing out on a playoff place on the final day of the season.
Next season may see a reduction in squad size, as the Trust attempts to halt the financial decline of the past few years. I will still be there, cheering on the lads whether they win or lose, and hopefully so will many others!
